Introduction to .NET Framework

Seminar Abstract:
This seminar provides an introduction to the Microsoft's forthcoming .Net platform and its benefits. It will cover the following topics:
   . Net Foundations: Common Language Runtime (CLR) and Base Class Libraries (BCL).
   Unification of programming languages C# and VB.Net: Promotion of VB.Net capabilities to that of C#.
   Unification of development environment for Windows based (Win Forms) and Web based (Web Forms) applications.
   Distribution of programs and processes across the Internet, using SOAP and Web Services.

Dr. Gholamali Semsarzadeh

 Speaker Bibliography:
Dr. Gholam Ali Semsarzadeh, received his PhD. in Computer Science from University of Pennsylvania in 1972. He has taught Computer Science at Sharif University for several years. He has also carried out a few major computer software projects at Ministries and Central Bank of Iran during this time. He is working with International Monitory Fund (IMF) for many years and has been engaged in various IT projects during this time.
